Great atmosphere for drinks with friends or watching "the game" (whatever "the game" might be). Happy hour rocks, and the bartenders are attentive and friendly...

I only come here for the Karaoke just so everyone knows. This is a nice hang out bar for some people but I like it for Robbie on Thursdays. The bar staff are nice but when it gets a little busy can get very distracted. I do like that they have Shocktop on tap. Karaoke is great because it's one of the only places in town and Robbie has the largest music options you could think of. If the song is more than a month old, he has it.

Stopped in for a late night snack. There was barely anyone in there and that should have been a red flag. We waited 20 minutes before anyone came over and the waitress seemed drunk. She was slurring and could barely form a sentence. She acted annoyed when we didn't order alcohol and seemed shocked we wanted food. The nachos and chili cheese fries were mediocre at best. The chips were cold and liquid cheese was poured on top. The fries had a crazy amount of raw chopped onions on top. Another waitress came over to refill our drinks and she had a black eye. Definitely would not return. There are many other great local places to visit.

Has changed a bit over the years but still a great place to grab a drink with friends and watch sports. They've added food and its actually quite tasty! I recommend it.

I ended up at Mardi Gras last weekend after the first night of the Gentleman of the Road Stopover. I didn't feel like heading to the bars slam packed with concert goers fighting through a sea of hipsters for a drink. I figured I would be the smart one and walk back towards my hotel and find a less crowded bar on the way. Little did I know, pretty much every bar in the downtown are is nowhere near where I was staying. Luckily I did find this place though and it was just beyond where I planned on stumbling back to. At first glance, it's a biker bar/dive bar out on it's own in no-bar's land. But on second glance, it's exactly what it was at the first glance. Don't expect it to be anything different. I saw right away that they had Karaoke night going and decided this is where I was spending the rest of my nite. The outside area was busy with bikers coming and going and the inside had a small crowd of people singing their hearts out while eating stale and salty popcorn from the machine. All the while, we had a blast, and the drinks were cheap too. Either that or they forgot to charge us for a round. I was too uhhh... "tired" to tell the difference at closing time but my tab was more than reasonable for the drinks, fun times, and stale popcorn we had.

After just getting off the road after a grueling drive I found this great watering hole. In walking distance from my charming boutique hotel. Great atmosphere and quick service. I'll check back in tomorrow for lunch, as the menu looks perfect for cold beer and munchies.

I came here a few months ago! I'm from Chicago and came to Florida for vacation and our hotel was right across the street. So we decided to check it this place out! It was a Friday night. They had some special going on for women where if they payed a certain amount they could drink until midnight for free which was awesome! They charged me 5 dollars to get into this place since I'm a male. The bar was alright! It was kinda a older crowd of people here like 30s and 40s. Not a place you wanna go if your in your 20s other than the drink specials. They do have a pretty cool dance floor here. Also play pretty nice music. We ended up leaving and going to another bar but it was a pretty fun place.

Very nice place. Lots of TVs, billiards, games, and tables. No food, but that might be changing in the future so I hear. One sat off for nothing for Big Bob to munch on

This is with out a doubt the most childish dirty filthy run bar we have ever seen, This place is run by foolish children, they can't decide if they are a college bar or a biker bar. They have the smart ass attitude of a college bar but are full of bikers. I will explain, (1)How You Will be Treated,... You will be treated as if you are doing them a favor by going there. You will have to deal with the bartenders flirting with (locals)? And skipping you, even if you tip! This is not a one night visit review. (2)Cleanliness,.. You will be overwhelmed with the smell of spoiled beer and puke, it's as if they think its cool (College Bar) or they just don't care. Your feet will stick to the floor, big time! The bathrooms will make you sick,...IF THEY WORK while your there! They let the toilets overflow while I was there on two separate occasions when asked we were told "what the f do you want" This place is absolutely filthy not only in cleanliness but in attitude, all the locals know to stay away, you should too! (3)Food,.. To be honest, they Can't or Don't offer food, so they had a lunch truck sell tacos OUTSIDE! This is needed for a alcohol License in the state of Fl, so with a full kitchen inside, why do that? Dirty smelly and mold ridden bar, no need to clean it just sell the required food outside,....OUTSIDE! Just take a drive by and look at the parking lot, unless we have a big weekend there is NO ONE there, ever! It saddens me to see idiots like this sullying the name of St Augustine. STAY AWAY FROM THE FRAT PARTY MINDSET JOKE OF MARDI GRAS!!!!!!! Tourist, please understand we are NOT this! We are much better than this!

I have to say, I've been wanting to stop in and hang at Mardi Gras for quite a while. The many times I've driven past the location downtown, it's been busy, ESPECIALLY during UFC fight nights. I've also heard many horror stories from people who have been here- noting there are more fights inside the building and in the parking lot than on the TV. My experience couldn't have been better, although I attended on a college football night. There was actually parking available- big plus. Although I noticed a large parking lot directly across the street at a hotel that offers close parking for free. There are two main areas to Mardi Gras- inside and out. You can sit outside at a bar which offers up 3 big screen TV's and enjoy cool fall Florida nights. Full bar available with a few draft beers and lots of bottled choices. Hungry? Grab food from the AWESOME "Luvin Grub" trailer in front of Mardi Gras- good food at cheap prices, and unbelievably great service. My favorite- go hang inside. There is a large bar in the center of the building, and also a few different rooms spread throughout the place, all with comfortable chairs, couches, tables, a VERY relaxed atmosphere. Big screen TV's all over the place show your favorite sporting events, and the best part- boxing and UFC fights. There's also a pool room in the back if you feel like having a few drinks and shooting some 8-ball. Bathrooms were clean and easy to get to, and service was all around great. Overall- this is one of my new favorite stops in St. Augustine. There are quite a few sports bars spread throughout the town, but this one is by far the biggest and most comfortable, offering up great deals and service, and is one of the best places to watch sporting events. Just be warned- the crowd can get PACKED and ROWDY during fight night, but overall a great time and a lot of fun.
